The total process - from the moment you order to weaving, shipping and delivery - takes approximately 3 weeks. Once your rug is out for delivery, we will send you a track and trace to follow the whereabouts of your rug(s).

We offer free carbon offset shipping to all EU countries. Delivery costs for Rest of the World are on average between € 30 - € 80 according to the size and weight of your rug(s) and stated at checkout once we have your address.
We compensate any carbon emissions released into our atmosphere as a result of shipping your rug, by planting the equivalent in trees via Trees For All. 

RETURNS:
Your rug is handmade exclusively for you, therefore all orders are final and we cannot accept returns. We keep a close eye on quality and consistency. Our rugs are dyed and woven by hand from unprocessed raw jute, therefore small imperfections or irregularities are part of the natural beauty of your one-of-a-kind rug. Please be mindful that the size, shape and colour of your rug are correct before placing your final order. We’re here to help. We hope your new rug exceeds your expectations, but if for whatever reason your rug arrives damaged or faulty, please let us know so we can make it right.

BODEM rugs are handwoven from premium raw jute, which is entirely biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. The jute plant grows abundantly without the use of pesticides nor does it need much water or space. It even absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen faster than trees. Our packaging is equally recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. Our ultimate goal is to sustain a complete zero-waste production cycle that has a positive impact on the planet. 

Jute is a natural beauty. Its natural fibers age beautifully and thrive under an equally natural cleaning regime. In case your rug is getting dusty, we recommend using a vacuum cleaner with brush attachment. Pro tip: moving the vacuum in different angles will get even the tiniest dust out, leaving your rug crispy clean. Avoid over-vacuuming to prolong its life. For ultra-sunny rooms, rotate your rug over time so it fades evenly. Avoid chemical cleaning. A jute rug can’t be steam cleaned, as moisture, rug cleaners and spot cleaners can mess with the natural colour richness of the fibers. In case you spill something (or your dog was really excited to see you), it’s best to blot the area repeated with a dry cloth to pull out as much moisture as possible. Wait until it is dry. In case of severe stains, contact a professional.
